The work of the first phase of the Noida international airport has commenced in January 2020 after the Gautam Budh Nagar district administration obtained possession of 1239 hectares of land acquired under The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act (RFCTLARR), 2013 from six villages in Jewar tehsil - Rohi, Dayanatpur, Kishorpur, Parohi, Ranhera and Banwari Bas.

अभी ग्रामीण घरों में पाइप से पानी की आपूर्ति लगभग 18% है और जल जीवन मिशन में इसे 100% तक पहुंचाने का लक्ष्य है। पिछले साल प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने स्वतंत्रता दिवस 2019 के अवसर पर देश के सभी घरों को पाइप के द्वारा जल उपलब्ध करवाने के लिए “जल जीवन मिशन” की घोषणा की थी। इसके लिए केंद्र और राज्य मिलकर काम करेंगे। घरों तक नल के माध्यम से जल पहुंचाने की इस महत्त्वाकांक्षी परियोजना पर 3.60 लाख करोड़ रुपये लागत आने का अनुमान है, जिसमें केंद्र सरकार 2.08 लाख करोड़ रुपये अंशदान देगी। 'जल जीवन मिशन' के लिए वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 के बजट में 11,500 करोड़ रुपये रुपए आवंटित किए हैं।
