Siddharth Jain is a Research Associate & Area Convener with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). He is currently handling various green building rating systems, as well as working on various research and policy framework with multilateral organisations. By training, he is a Mechanical Engineer & MBA and has more than six years of experience in the energy efficiency and policy advocacy.
Prior to joining TERI, Mr Jain has worked with SGS India Private Limited and Kamal Cogent Energy Private Ltd for over 3 years. His main responsibilities at SGS included working on energy benchmarking, green building consultancy, LEED Cx, Energy Audits, GHG scenario modelling and policy advocacy with special focus on the buildings sector. During the time at SGS, he has managed many programmes on improving energy efficiency in both commercial and residential building sector in India. He has also conducted detailed energy audit of more than 30 buildings across five climatic zones of India during his association with SGS and TERI. He has also managed projects and worked with both government and multilateral and private organizations like, GIZ, MoP, BEE, UNDP, UNEP, World Bank, Mahindra Lifespaces, UTC, IITs, GMR, PWDs etc. He is an IGBC AP, GEM CP, LEED Cx agent and GRIHA Certified Professional and Energy Evaluator.
