Enzymatic retting and processing of banana fibers with mycogenic pectinase supported by standardization of effective surface modification treatments parameter through mycogenic laccase enzymes will results in solution of simple processing and their utilization perspective as renewable fiber sources to open the ways for industrial areas of uses.
The main objectives of this project are to: (1) Work on secondary-loop mobile air conditioner (SL-MAC) work in India especially through effective outreach about the environmental benefits and fuel savings to government and non-government organizations with the intent to speed commercialization; (2) Continue working with EESL et al. on making available affordable in India super-efficient room AC with lower-GWP refrigerants will be successful. This work includes coordination and support for a procurement of subsequent tenders of room ACs;
The electrification of road transport sector can be one of the pathways to reduce dependence on fossil fuel, and mitigate vehicular pollution. While there are several technologies like hybrid EV, plug-in hybrid vehicles, all electric/battery EV and fuel cell vehicles that can help achieve these objectives, this paper focuses only on all-electric/battery EV, with specific attention to passenger vehicles only.
Flexible, light weight thin film technology is being developed by Power Roll Ltd. TERI supports Power Roll Ltd in subjecting the technology along with a few applications for field trials. TERI facilitates the technology dissemination and positioning them in the Indian market.
The proposed initiative aims to enhance carbon sequestration and to reduce pressure on forests from unsustainable collection of fuelwood through sustainable fuel wood management, deployment of energy efficient technologies and alternative fuel in select districts of Assam.
The project aims to develop technology for highly efficacious nitrogenous fertilizer using the tailor made mesoporous nanozeolite carrier that can enable the slow release and targeted delivery of the nitrogen.
About Energy Transitions Commission
The need for accelerating change towards low-carbon energy systems that enable robust economic development and limit global temperature rise below 2 degree Celsius requires no emphasis.
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), with the support of Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (SSEF), has launched a Distribution Utilities Forum (DUF) that brings together various distribution utilities across India to a single platform and envisages taking up issues and challenges in the distribution sector towards enabling distribution reforms. Based on the suggestions made by the Forum members in the first meeting of Distribution Utility Forum held on 4th May 2018, three themes have been identified.
