Preparation of People Biodiversity Register for Zilla Panchayats and Taluk Panchayats levels

The objectives are to:
1. Sensitise the local people about the study, survey and possible management;
2. Document information on bio resources and their known uses;
3. Document the status of on-going involvement of local communities/ individuals in sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity resources;
4. Document local traditional knowledge that are shared and publically disclosed in support of uses of biodiversity resource;
5. Record shared information, practices, economic uses of biodiversity resources, trade practices and such others;
6. Create a consolidated database in the form of People’s Biodiversity Register in the format specified by the National Biodiversity Authority.
