Genesis of GREEN Olympiad (GO) rests on a vision that awareness about sustainable development issues will provide an empowered youth stewardship for our planet. GREEN Olympiad enriches interdisciplinary knowledge, skills, and eco- values necessary for achieving sustainable development.

ENHANCING LIVELIHOODS OF FARMERS IN GUJARAT THROUGH AGROFORESTRY PLANTATIONS BY SHBVM

The project is an ARR-based agroforestry carbon finance initiative implemented across six districts of Gujarat to enhance tree cover, improve farm productivity, and support rural livelihoods. Given the state’s relatively low forest cover, the project promotes the integration of commercially viable tree species into existing agricultural and barren lands. Led by Shri Hari Bhujal Vikas Mandal (SHBVM), the initiative supports farmers through quality planting material and technical assistance, while enabling additional income through carbon credit generation.

Baseline Study for Non-Urban Road Transport

As part of the study, TERI aims to identify major carriers, develop a methodology for data collection and validation, and establish key requirements for implementing an efficiency improvement program in the future.

Rejuvenation of Jamuna Drinking Water Supply Storage Pond through Bioremediation, Golaghat

The rejuvenation of the Jamuna water storage pond in Golaghat demonstrates the effectiveness of ecological engineering in restoring degraded water bodies. Implemented by TERI in collaboration with stakeholders, the project transformed a eutrophic, weed-infested pond into a functional pre-treatment system for municipal water supply.
