TERI has undertaken socio-economic and environmental impact study of e-Bus services in Panaji. Under the Panaji Smart City e-bus project, Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) has deployed 48 electric buses on internal routes and the outer circle of the city as a step towards decarbonizing the public transport sector. Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) has funded for 22 EVs and 26 EVs are procured from the funds allotted by the Central Government under Goa@60.

Mushroom and Azolla Cultivation Training for Empowering Marginalized Tribal Communities in Mokhada

To address the persistent malnutrition and livelihood challenges in the ST communities of Mokhada, two training sessions on Oyster Mushroom and Azolla cultivation were organized as part of the DST-funded project "Innovative Interventions in Mokhada Block of Palghar District to Combat Malnutrition and Enhance Livelihoods of ST Communities." In order to lower its overall carbon emissions, Chemfab Alkalis Limited (CCAL), Puducherry, in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, and the Western Regional Centre (WRC), Mumbai, conducted carbon footprint assessments in 2014, 2020, and recently in 2025. The purpose of the project was to evaluate the carbon sequestration potential and biodiversity contributions of the plantation areas developed and maintained by CCAL at its Puducherry facility.

TERI Mumbai has been engaged by The Ocean Cleanup Interception B.V. (Netherlands) to support Phase 1 of a landmark 30-city global study on riverine plastic pollution. With major urban centres spanning South-eastern Asia, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and North America, the study aims to generate a globally comparable evidence base on riverine plastic pollution and the effectiveness of existing cleanup interventions.
