The project is to ascertain the availability of biomass based on agriculture residue at village level.The study should clearly provide the measure of the biomass in terms of type, amount, period of availability in a year during one complete crop year.

The aim of the project is three fold:1. To show and estimate the scale of the potential for job creation in key, low carbon industrial sectors in India
The 4th TERI-KAS conference will seek to unravel the linkages between energy resources and India’s national security agenda and strategy. The conference will specifically focus on the security challenges posed by alternative energy sources such as nuclear energy and uranium, hydropower and renewables, but will not exclude the security concerns pertaining to fossil fuels as well.
The discussed project aspires to impart knowledge, raise awareness and sensitize a select group of students to make the school premises energy efficient, zero waste zone and conserve water and harvest rainwater. The project will first result in capacity building of these students and slowly reach out to the entire school and other target groups through a multiplier effect.
City of Bangalore, India faces an enormous challenge to meet its ever growing demand of energy and water and to manage its ever increasing waste which is polluting the storm water drains and lakes in the city.In the city of Bangalore there is a need to frame policies, regulations, guidelines, and develop financing instruments to achieve environment friendly, energy efficient buildings.
As part of the ITPS Study of Transport Sytem in Low Carbon Society, TERI is evaluating the different kinds of measures that could be taken so that the aggregate amount of CO2 emissions from all transport modes in India increase by the smallest possible quantity by 2050.
