In this proposal, we intend to a) estimate the molecular genetic diversity of Jatropha curcas accessions characterised for oil content and agronomic traits under DBT funded network project, b) development of a molecular linkage map using AFLP markers and c) identification of molecular markers linked with genes /QTLs controlling seed yield and oil content. This will help in rapid genetic improvement of Jatropha curcas through hybridization and selection.
