GHG and Carbon in Tidal Marshes: A Blue Carbon Initiative in Chennai

TERI Mumbai has been engaged by The Ocean Cleanup Interception B.V. (Netherlands) to support Phase 1 of a landmark 30-city global study on riverine plastic pollution.
TERI has undertaken socio-economic and environmental impact study of e-Bus services in Panaji. Under the Panaji Smart City e-bus project, Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) has deployed 48 electric buses on internal routes and the outer circle of the city as a step towards decarbonizing the public transport sector.
In order to lower its overall carbon emissions, Chemfab Alkalis Limited (CCAL), Puducherry, in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, and the Western Regional Centre (WRC), Mumbai, conducted carbon footprint assessments in 2014, 2020, and recently in 2025.
