Coastal wetland carries a wide variety of marine biodiversity (flora and fauna) which needs to be conserved.
The objectives are to: 1. Sensitise the local people about the study, survey and possible management; 2. Document information on bio resources and their known uses; 3. Document the status of on-going involvement of local communities/ individuals in sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity resources; 4. Document local traditional knowledge that are shared and publically disclosed in support of uses of biodiversity resource;
The objectives of this project are to: (1) build capacity in the mountain region under the green energy skill development through solar energy technology applications; (2) align with the national agenda of development and implementation of green skills and the participants will also be engaged in practical training programme; (3) create linkage between green industries and trained youths as well as with the service provider; (4) build capacity among rural unemployed youths and create possibility in engaging in NMHS Schemes in future.
TERI prepared the 'Reference Document towards Developing an Integrated Resource Efficiency Policy for India' in consultation with the Resource Efficiency Cell of the MoEFCC
Himalayan glaciers and rivers, address the water need of people of the Himalayan states and India as a whole. However, despite the state's multiple water reserves, many districts of Uttarakhand face acute water scarcity. Springs of Himalaya are drying up or turning from perennial to seasonal. Since, most of the mountain communities are heavily dependent on springs for safe and reliable water supply, it has become obligatory to preserve and manage these springs.
Cycling is one of the most sustainable modes of transportation. It has numerous benefits in the form of zero dependence on fossil fuels, zero emissions and pollution, health benefits from increased physical activity, besides being an affordable means of mobility for low-income households.
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has commenced a programme for capacity building of Distribution Companies (Discoms). This programme will help in integration of BEE activities with activities managed by the Discoms for Demand Side Management (DSM).
The objective of the project is building capacity of Discoms to carry out load management programme, developing DSM action plan and implementing DSM activities in their respective areas.
The activities under the project include -
In this project TERI would facilitate green building design consultancy and GRIHA certification and achieve the best standards in green building design consultancy and GRIHA rating. The site is located in Bangalore and the office complex has a total built up area of 4984 sq.m. The building will encompass office cabin, conference rooms, meeting rooms, technical and non-technical rooms. The client is intending to achieve the best standards in green building design and rating as per GRIHA rating. The total area considered for rating will be 2613 sq.m.
The objective of this project is to facilitate performance assessment of second life lithium batteries with the existing solar micro grids and home lighting systems in Uttar Pradesh.
Solar street lights will be installed in the streets of 2 villages and community places at Golaghat District, falling under the working area of NRL.
