The Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy, Thailand, has initiated the project on study and developing biomass gasifier based power generation in Thailand. The project was initiated mainly to develop the biomass gasifier based power generation in Thailand and to test different fuels and to check their feasibility (i.e. technical, economical etc) with the same gasifier based power-generating system, which will be used in the Thailand for further dissemination of the technology.

The overall objective is to identify issues and opportunities that enhance the coping capacities of communities in dealing with the current climatic variability and future climate change.
