TERI carried out a pilot study with CEIL to determine the feasibility of bioremediation of drill cutting and was able to bring down the hydrocarbon level below the permissible limits. Based on the initial lab results and a pilot scale field trials in the CEIL drill site, this proposal intend to upscale the study with a larger volume of wastes (drill cuttings) and propose to TERI to determine the techno-commercial feasibility of bioremediation of drill cuttings/ oil contaminated wastes that will be generated from exploration and production operations.

One week training course for Indian Forest Service Officers on "Clean Development Mechanism Projects under Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry:Theory and practice and their relevance to forestry sector", August 25-29, 2008 at TERI. This is a collaborative project with MoEF for celebrating World Wetlands Day, on 2nd Feb, 2007.
The project activities aim to generate a broader awareness amongst the society, on the need for conservation of wetlands, and the role that these play in providing several environmental services for our well being.
The activities will include organising a painting competition amongst the school children, debating competition in various colleges and universities in Delhi, organising a workshop, and publication and release of a document.

The Viva Collage Group has proposed a retail destination at Jallandhar. The Group seeks to achieve a certain salience for the Viva Collage developments and take pioneering initiatives towards integration of environmentally sustainable features in their building design. TERI would provide advisory services to achieve energy efficieny and make design recommendations with incremental capex and customer satisfaction (in terms of achieving comfortable indoor conditions within the mall) as important parameters to achieve efficiency.
