Training programme on entrepreneurship development for production of superior quality planting materials using in vitro technology in North-east

The overall objective of the proposed training programme is to enhance the technical capability of the officials/researchers working in the area of plant tissue culture in north-east so that the need of superior quality planting material could be met within the region. However, the specific objectives of the proposed training programme would be as follows:To enhance the technical capability of the entrepreneurs and research scientists engaged in mass production of tissue cultured plants.
Empowerment of Agrarian Population through Training and demonstration for Cultivation of High Value Plantation Crops

The project is being executed in Bilaspur and Kamrup districts of Himachal Pradesh and Assam respectively. It aims to provide quality planting material produced through conventional methods as well as through tissue culture, promote scientific method of cultivation, demonstrate on-farm production of biofertilizers and biopesticides, promote micro-entrepreneurship, etc. Under this project, planting material of large cardamom, banana, pineapple, turmeric, ginger and potato shall be provided to the farmers. through Training and Demonstration for Cultivation of High Value Plantation Crops¿.Ethics in Climate Change

Rising levels in soil over a long period are a major concern because of health risks caused even by low degree of exposure. Cadmium, Lead and Mercury has been particularly implicated for adverse effects on health.
