The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and World Wind Energy Association (WWEA), with the support of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and International Solar Energy Society (ISES), are jointly hosting the 19th edition of the World Wind Energy Conference 2021 (WWEC2021) during 24-26 November 2021. The conference will be held in a virtual format under the theme of 'Powering the World with Wind and Sun'.

The conference will focus on the clean energy transition propelled by spectacular progress of renewable energy with prime focus on accelerating capacity additions of wind and solar energy into country energy systems in line with Paris agreements.

WWEC2021 shall also address the opportunities offered by innovation and modernization of technologies and methods to meet the growing energy demands of the developing countries in an affordable and reliable manner, based on domestic renewable resources and without exacerbating climate change risks. During the conference, a collection of global stakeholders shall discuss policy and regulatory issues, procurement and supply chain strategies, innovations and future paths to accelerate renewable-centric unique opportunities for economic growth and prosperity.

WWEC2021 promises to be a knowledge and industry platform to capture learnings from various parts of the world and in return leading to India's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat aiming at self-reliance in technology and manufacturing, not only to meet domestic requirements but also for the country to emerge as a regional hub for the export of renewable energy systems and services.
