Creating awareness amongst youth on policy issues related to climate change with specific reference to COP-11

College students from Delhi will be targeted for the 'Youth COP 11'. This event is seen as an opportunity for the young leaders to put forward their concerns on climate related issues. A series of sensitization and awareness programmes will be held for this group. This includes sessions with experts on policy issues related to climate change, adequate information dissemination through manuals and other publications. As a preparation to the Youth COP 11, meetings of students with various mission heads will also be organized to provide the students an open and unbiased information about issues of immediate concern on policy level climate concerns. This will be facilitated through concerned department at the Canadian High Commission.
COP 11. the eleventh session of the Conference of the Parties to the Climate Change Convention, is being held in conjunction with the first session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP) in Montréal from 28 November, 2005 to 9 December, 2005.
