CORES: Collaboration to Optimise Renewable Energy Systems: introducing affordable, reliable, portable energy solutions to remote communities in India and Africa

The aim of the project is to improve the lives of people living in rural communities of Mukteshwar, India, and Mumbachala, Ngabwe District, Zambia. The work will involve providing secure access to affordable electricity, assess social inclusion and gender equality benefits to local communities. The target project sites shares similar hardships due to harsh climates and low levels of development from rest of the world though situated in different continents with vast cultural disparity. These factors underpin the challenge to develop a reliable power supply that is portable, low-cost, scalable, and sustainable.
