10 ways to control air pollution

26 Aug 2016 28 Feb 2017

The report covers sources of air pollution in parts of northern India during winters and their impact on various aspects, thereby offering solutions that may be replicated in other regions.

Launched during World Sustainable Development Summit 2016, the report focuses on the need for a collaborative, multi-sectoral framework to ensure the effectiveness of our responses to improve the quality of air. Other than the 10 solutions that the report offers , India‘s efforts to meet its INDCs (Intended Nationally Determined Contributions) are also expected to significantly reduce air pollution due to the nexus between air pollution reduction and climate mitigation.

The report categorizes the suggested measures broadly under five sections, namely, dust and waste, transport, industries, agri residue and residential.
