The objective of the assignment is to assess carbon stocks of forest areas, generate carbon finance under voluntary carbon markets, prepare Project Design Document (PDD), preparation of MRs and their validation and verification of Projects for Voluntary Carbon Markets and building capacity of the community in carbon assessment and in generating carbon finance for the stake holders (Van Panchayats - VPs). The aim of the study is to facilitate in providing reliable healthcare to all sections of the community by energy-efficient and sustainable healthcare services. Collectively strategies and roadmaps shall be developed to achieve the above aim at all levels of health delivery system of the State varying from primary to tertiary levels in Punjab.
The study aimed to identify, document, preserve, safeguard and promote forms of Traditional Knowledge (TK) that existed and are still practiced at the community level. Promote TK among Youth through collaborative awareness program, and study the possibility of integrating it in formal educational curriculum.
TERI has installed around 25000 cookstoves in Bihar. From the use of these stoves, carbon credits are being generated. TERI with the support from VNV Advisory Services are able to sell these carbon credits and generate revenue. The same fund is being utilized for maintenance and replacement of cookstove and other components in Bihar engaging the women energy entrepreneurs. TERI has been setting up women energy enterprises who are being engaged in maintenance and servicing of cookstoves in different districts of Bihar.
