TERI is serving as a Secretariat body for the National Transport Decarbonization Council (NTDC) and will be responsible for bringing diverse stakeholders together and steer activities required to adopt an integrated approach towards decarbonizing the transport sector in India
The main objective of this assignment is to prepare State of Environment Report - 2020, Punjab by mapping environmental, social and natural resource information and provide the information in the form of write-ups, maps, data tables, geo spatial maps, photographs etc.
The aim of the work is to help GIZ better target the activities and develop a more comprehensive approach for the implementation of the Plastic Waste Management (Rules) 2016 and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) framework while contributing to a circular economy.
The Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of India have, under the Indo-German Technical Cooperation, agreed to jointly promote the ‘Indo-German Energy Programme’ (IGEN) with the aim to foster sustainability in built environment in order to use sustainable materials for thermal comfort and in turn improve the environment and climate conditions.
Some of the main objective of this project are: 1. Study of existing emissions policies and regulations applicable for various industries and estimate the potential reduction in emissions (PM2.5, PM10, C02 SOX and NOX) due to replacement of solid (coal/pet coke) and liquid (FO, Diesel and LPG) fuels by Natural Gas (NG) in the identified polluted industrial areas/clusters. 2. Assessment of potential reduction in water and land pollution due to replacement of solid and liquid fuels by NG in the identified polluted industrial areas/clusters.
TERI proposes to undertake the following activities in collaboration with SIMA (Sponge Iron Manufacturers Association ) in the coal-based DRI production process: - Detailed mapping of DRI production units and shortlisting 2-3 prominent coal-based DRI manufacturing clusters representing domestic production ranges, existing and proposed capacity, operating practices etc. - Explore possibilities of using NG as transitional fuel in the identified clusters vis-à-vis planned upgradation of NG infrastructure in the region.
The project will undertake the following activities:
The main objectives of this project are to: • Follow up previous FS sites on 5 Japanese low carbon technologies (LCTs) to develop an FS case study booklet introducing adoption of, best-operating practices, energy-saving, and economic impacts, etc. and to conduct follow-up interviews from energy auditors and/or managers who participated in ToTs. • Organize one webinar (on-line WS, seminar, training, etc.) on Japanese LCTs to promote the exchange between Hyogo prefecture and Gujarat state based on their MoU.
The objectives of this study are to: 1. Provide ground level concentration of air pollutants in different parts of the city. 2. Select emission factors for different categories of vehicles with due consideration to variations in fuel quality, technology, size and vintage of sources, control systems, etc. 3. Select appropriate emission factors for other non-vehicular sources viz. industries, industrial and domestic fuel combustion, roadside dust, construction activities, generator sets, etc.
It consists of the following activities. 1) Sharing with IGES reference documents available about technologies, policies and measures to promote energy efficiency in two sectors of textile and foundry of the target states in India. 2) Conducting interviews with related stakeholders. 3) Updating information on financial schemes for Indian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the JITMAP website.
