Green Skill Development Programme by TERI ENVIS Resource Partner

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), as part of Environment Information System (ENVIS) programme supported by Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change had successfully conducted 25 residential Green Skill Development Programmes (GSDP) — each spanning 240 hours - for over 750 students on “Sustain and Enhance Technical Knowledge in Solar Energy Systems” and Waste management in Bihar, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Assam, Odisha and Jharkhand. The programme endeavours to develop green skilled workers having technical knowledge and commitment to sustainable development, which will help in the attainment of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), National Biodiversity Targets (NBTs), as well as Waste Management Rules (2016).
