Climate action warrants multilateral approach: Sh. Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister, MoEF&CC at Darbari Seth Memorial Lecture 2021

Long-term mitigation and adaptation strategies are critical for developing countries as they are highly vulnerable to climate change impacts, the minister said in his Presidential Address at the centenary celebration of Mr Seth's birth anniversary.


"Responding to the threat of climate change warrants a more responsive, multilateral approach where all countries take their fair share of the burden. Equitable carbon and developmental space to achieve sustainable development requires due consideration of common but differentiated responsibility and respective capability," Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon'ble Union Minister to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India said in his Presidential Address on 'India's Achievements in Addressing Climate Change' on August 24, 2021.

The 20th Darbari Seth Memorial Lecture marked the 100th birth anniversary of our founder- Darbari Seth. The event saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries from the Government, Tata Group, and fellow business leaders of Mr Seth remembering and honouring the visionary that he was.
