TERI – NCSTC Eco Next Investigation for Youth

The project has adopted two modules of trainings to reach out to youth:

  • Eco Eureka Training: The training focuses on connecting nature and science in order to showcase the ways in which science can be used for the conservation of nature and the environment. A practical approach is adopted to meet this objective by involving students in a five-day training programme and providing firsthand experience of various environment parameters. Six such trainings are being implemented in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Goa.
  • Eco WASH Training: The main focus of discussion for this five-day training is water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). WASH is taken up in its entirety by discussing the social, technical and scientific approaches to dealing with the problem. Two such trainings are being implemented in Delhi and Bengaluru.

Through the programme, TERI has trained 190 students on key thematic areas of environment, sustainability and WASH, involving more than 50 experts from core thematic programme of TERI.
