Technology foresight for Asia: environmentally sound technological options
The specific objectives of the study are:
(1) Preparation of an issues paper, which will include identification of approximately a dozen of major interventions that are possible in the field of energy and environment as drivers of change in the future; and analysis of regulatory measures, government funding of research and development, other fiscal measures such as taxes and subsidies etc. to enable propagation of such technologies.
(2) Organizing a focused workshop, involving the AEI (Asian Energy Institute) network partners to conduct a realty check on the paper thus developed. (3) The issues paper will identify future environmentally sound technological options in the Asian region and the regulatory and fiscal issues related to them.
