European Union Resource Efficiency Initiative Phase II

The objective of this programme is to support the Global Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP)

agenda driven by the UN by supporting India in the implementation of this agenda and to promote EU

standards and business best practices on resource efficiency in this process.

The Specific Objective of the action is to make resource consumption more efficient in India, so as to

contribute to the global agenda on sustainable consumption and production, to promote green economy

thereby promoting a level playing field and opening business opportunities for EU companies in India

and helping boost jobs and growth in the EU.
