Capacity development trainings/ workshops related to plastic waste management through in the cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh

The Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) has joined hands with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to support the reduction of plastic waste entering the environment of the two Ganga cities Haridwar and Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, India. The project Aviral aims at reducing plastic waste entering the city environment by strengthening an integrative and improved plastic waste management system.
 
The Energy Resources Institute (TERI) as part of the larger Aviral initiative will support in enhancing the capacities in the areas of improving the waste recovery, promoting innovation along the entire plastic waste value chain and implementation of awareness activities that engages all relevant stakeholders in the spheres that include managerial, organizational, financial and other practical aspects of solid and plastic waste management.
