BSG and TERI signs MOU

New Delhi, July 28, 2023: Advancing towards Goal 17 of the United Nations (Partnerships for Goals), Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) joined hands to collectively work for sustainability by signing an MoU. Through this MOU, both BSG and TERI will work on various sustainability projects and activities, including creating collaborative research materials, exhibitions, educational initiatives and other such activities.

The need for sustainable living has never been more critical than it is now. With rising temperatures, heatwaves, plastic and air pollution, and various other problems emerging in the world, it is time to collaborate and come together to collectively address problems which can go a long way towards preserving this one precious blue planet Earth.

Introducing the idea of this collaboration, the Chairperson of Bharat Soka Gakkai, Mr Vishesh Gupta said, “Through cooperation and partnership, we can pool our wisdom together so that we can contribute to the friendship and welfare of all people. This is precisely the kind of cooperation and partnership we intend to build with TERI so that we can work together and build a difference in society.”

Director General of TERI, Dr Vibha Dhawan spoke about the need for partnerships and collaborations. She said “I'll come to why partnerships are so important. One and one makes an eleven. Let's believe in that because that's how we all can progress. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses. The moment we start complementing each other's strengths, nothing can stop us. What is important for us to understand that we all have to work together and ensure that we make this planet a much happier place.”
