The project ensures provision of clean cooking and lighting facilities for 480 households spread over 10 villages of Bihar and Jharkhand. Local capacity building programme to be initiated for all individual users, cluster level technicians and energy entrepreneurs. Local ownership and entrepreneurship would be established for sustainable operations and impact of the project.
The Energy and Resources Institute in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme-Regional office is developing Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions in the buildings sector for Indonesia, Thailand, The Philippines and Viet Nam. The project will assist the countries in recognizing the significant mitigation potential of the building section, identify and recommend actions for development in the NAMAs, provide MRV (measurement, reporting and verification) tools and an overall framework to support NAMA development by the countries.
For this assignment, the scope of work is to create a Program Information Note (PIN) for Energy Efficiency Services Limited¿s (EESL) various initiatives under the Transformative Carbon Asset Facility (TCAF). This project will design carbon monitoring methodologies, primarily for EESL¿s various initiatives - including providing efficient ceiling fans and air-conditioners, efficient household lighting and street lighting - with an aim of enabling market-based carbon pricing and sectoral mitigation measures.
The main objectives of this project are to: (1) identify maximum energy savings in the plant; (ii) meet the requirements of PAT reporting; and (iii) build the capacities of the plant personnel on PAT compliance requirement. These objectives will be achieved by conducting energy audit and timely reporting to the state designated agency (SDA) and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
The main goal of this project is to deliver a Proof of Concept of a decision support system to help the city council of Surat, India, to decide how to manage, extend or adapt its energy options.

NEDO is implementing a smart community pilot project in selected sub-stations of Panipat. TERI provided support to the members of consortium and NEDO for undertaking the pre-feasibility study and feasibility study. In continuation to this, TERI proposes to assist NEDO for implementing smart community pilot project in Panipat. TERI is a partner with the Climate Transparency Initiative since 2017 - which is an open global consortium with a shared mission to stimulate a 'race to the top' in climate action through enhanced transparency in climate actions. The group envisions establishing a credible reference point for policy makers and influencers - a valuable resource for media for the benefit of enhanced climate ambition and action, and thereby seeks to support the shift of investments towards zero carbon technologies.
