The overarching aim is to strengthen the cooperation in education and research between Germany and India in sustainable water resources management over a 3-year period from July 2020 to June 2023. The focus is on natural treatment techniques of riverbank filtration (RBF), managed aquifer recharge, and constructed wetlands. This is to be achieved through an extension of the activities and partners (German and Indian) of the existing ‘Riverbank Filtration Network (RBFN)’ partnership that exists since 2008.
There is a pressing need to curb marine pollution in the Maldives, Sri Lanka and India sharing access to the pristine ecosystems of the Lakshadweep Sea. The overall objective of the ProMiSe project is to contribute to the prevention and leakage of wastes from land-based sources into the Lakshadweep Sea in line with sustainable consumption and production approach, thus enhancing the attractiveness of tourism industries, avoiding further deterioration of marine ecosystems and improving living conditions in the Maldives, Sri Lanka and India.
The project aims to help implement clear and practical complexity-based modelling appraisals solutions for informing decision-making and planning for low-carbon innovation, and technological change.
TERI has provided inputs to the foundational process for green budgeting in Bihar and is advising the state government on tagging of budget heads with SDGs
The main objectives of this study are to: • Profile ground level concentration of air pollutants in different parts of the city; • Select emission factors for different categories of vehicles with due consideration to variations for fuel quality, technology, size and vintage of sources, control systems, etc; • Select appropriate emission factors for other non-vehicular sources viz. industries, industrial and domestic fuel combustions, roadside dust, construction activities, generator sets, etc;
The objectives of this project are:
(i) Identify thrust areas for energy and water conservation;
(ii) Identify the ways and means to waste minimization and recycling potential.
TERI proposes a green corridor initiative to develop eco-friendly road/highways with participation of the local communities, farmers, government agencies and the forest department to contribute in India’s NGHM (National Green Highways Mission) under NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) plan for green corridor development at highways and schools.
The main objective of this study is to see the impact of the recent fire accident at gas well head on ambient air quality in the nearby vicinity of exploration well. Specific objectives of the study are to: Measure the levels of PM2.5, SO2, NOx, methane, non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC), total hydrocarbons (TH) and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) at a radius of 0.5 km, 1 km, 1.5 km and 2 km from the impacted well head in all the four directions on a rotational basis;
The main objectives of this project are to strengthen and implement activities related to energy efficiency and cooling particularly in the following areas of work: (1) Developing Kigali implementation scenarios; (2) Advancing efficiency and low-GWP standards as part of the update of the AC standards.
The main purpose of the assignment would be: (1) Assessment of farmers eligibility to access encouraging opportunities and avail benefits of the scheme in terms of increasing the farmers’ income, employment, skills and its penetration across cow/buffalo, goat/sheep, piggery and poultry sectors with fulfillment of aim/objectives, as well as its efficacy and efficiency.
