Perfetti Van Melle India (PVM India) has announced the launch of its Solar Electrification Project in Uttarakhand. Under this project PVM India has collaborated with TERI and effectively implemented one solar charging station at Dugari Khatta 1, which comes under Gram Panchayat of Biriya Block, Khatima District of Udham Singh Nagar. For these villages, Perfetti has supported the distribution of LED lanterns for 50 households. This project is expected to light up the lives of over 250 people
Read moreAn environmental survey of 1010 Mumbaiites by TERI has found among other things that 62% of total respondents feel that the environment and development were conflicting in nature. The survey that was carried out in six major cities, namely Mumbai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai aimed at gauging people's perception, behaviour, awareness and opinions pertaining to environmental issues.
