Air quality and public health

On 28th January, 2021 12:00 PM – 01:00 PM (IST)

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is organising a webinar on "Air Quality and Public Health Challenges" on 28th January from 12-1 PM.

Apart from being an environmental concern, air pollution has also proved to be a public health challenge. In light of this, the webinar will have medical experts elaborate on the different ways in which our health gets affected by toxic pollutants, the pathways and mechanisms by which we get impacted, and the short and long-term changes that take place as a result of frequent or extremely high exposures to polluted air and more.

The panelists will also be sharing details about various national level initiatives that are being undertaken to track different air pollution related diseases.

A short video especially designed for children will also be released on the same day that would showcase the mechanisms through which our health gets affected by air pollution.
