The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in collaboration with the European Union Delegation to India (EUD India) is organizing an in-person interactive session between youth and H.E. Mr. Virginijus Sinkeviius, Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, European Union. The session on "Generation Green: Promoting Sustainable Lifestyles for Youth, by Youth" will take place at TERI Headquarters, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on July 26, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (IST).
Experts from policymaking, civil society, and youth representatives will participate in the event to discuss and deliberate on the "triple planetary crisis" and related environemental issues.
The event will notably allow a live interaction with one of the seniormost EU officials and possibly discuss recent publications meant to help reflect and enable dialogue and action for and by Indian Youth. It will also facilitate a live exchange around roles, responsibilities, competencies, means, and rights of youth in promoting an agenda for sustainable lifestyles, which considers how demand, supply, and policies can best contribute to biodiversity protection, circular economy, resource and energy efficiency leading to better and more efficient climate and environmental stewardship.
