This is a collaborative project with MoEF for celebrating World Wetlands Day, on 2nd Feb, 2007.
The project activities aim to generate a broader awareness amongst the society, on the need for conservation of wetlands, and the role that these play in providing several environmental services for our well being.
The activities will include organising a painting competition amongst the school children, debating competition in various colleges and universities in Delhi, organising a workshop, and publication and release of a document.

The Viva Collage Group has proposed a retail destination at Jallandhar. The Group seeks to achieve a certain salience for the Viva Collage developments and take pioneering initiatives towards integration of environmentally sustainable features in their building design. TERI would provide advisory services to achieve energy efficieny and make design recommendations with incremental capex and customer satisfaction (in terms of achieving comfortable indoor conditions within the mall) as important parameters to achieve efficiency.

This project aims at developing three separate training modules based on eco-housing assessment criteria for three stakeholder groups - customers, enablers, and decision-makers as shown below. The training modules will be a combination of classroom sessions, site visits, and project work.
Modules for all three stakeholder groups will cover the following aspects of eco-housing technical assessment criteria including economic, environmental, and social considerations:

-- Formulate the set of "Design guidelines for energy efficient buildings", and print 1000 copies of the Guidelines -- Prepare another set of guidelines easy to adopt, well illustrated and understandable by common man in the form of "Home owners information brochure". It would guide home owners to achieve energy efficiency in existing homes with ensured reduction in electricity consumption. These guidelines would also be printed in form of brochure, and 1000 copies of the same would be printed.

The main objectives of this research project are (1) systematic evaluation of institutional performance in and around four protected areas in Kenya, Tanzania, and two states in India with regard to human development (with a focus on poverty reduction), and biodiversity protection; (2) to find how the relationship between conservation and the village economy has developed over time.

Recognizing the importance of inculcating among school children and teachers a sense of respect and responsibility towards energy conservation and its efficient use TERI implemented a pilot project, in 30 elite schools in Delhi, supported by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power.
