India sets up task force to accelerate EV drive

To promote the country's electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in line with its vision of Viksit Bharat, the Centre is in the process of establishing a task force to create a roadmap for the industry, according to a letter sent by the ministry of heavy industries (MHI) to automakers. Mr I.V. Rao, Distinguished Fellow at TERI, one of the agencies in the task force, confirmed the ministry's move.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a "CarbonLite Metro Travel" initiative for passengers to know how much carbon emissions they have saved while using the metro instead of petrol-fueled cars.
