Taxi guidelines will help in curbing vehicular pollution: TERI

The recent guidelines proposed by a panel of the Transport Ministry on taxis will help in combating vehicular pollution by reducing number of private vehicles on the roads, TERI has said. TERI releases emergency plan

Amid worsening air quality in Delhi, TERI has released a ten-point emergency response plan, including reduction of crop burning and ban on movement of all 10-year-old vehicles in the Delhi-NCR amongst others. TERI has submitted the plan to Delhi government and the Union Environment Ministry, recommending that it be enforced immediately in whole of NCR on forecast days of very high pollution.
