ICCT and TERI’s NCoEGPS sign MoU at ICTS 2025 to advance Green Ports & Shipping in India
At the India Clean Transport Summit (ICTS) 2025, the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) and TERI’s National Centre of Excellence in Green Ports & Shipping (NCoEGPS) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen policy development on Green Ports and Shipping in India. The collaboration will drive joint research on ship emission quantification, shore power adoption, ship efficiency improvements, and the exploration of alternative fuels. In alignment with the Harit Sagar Green Port Guidelines and the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047, the initiative seeks to foster data sharing, collaborative projects, and capacity-building workshops to enhance industry capability and support evidence-based policymaking for India’s maritime decarbonisation. The MoU was signed in the presence of Souvik Bhattacharjya, Ketan Gore, PhD, and Amit Bhatt from TERI and ICCT.
TERI acknowledges the valuable support of its partners in making ICTS 2025 a success: Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi as Country Partner; Raahgiri Foundation and Norsk elbilforening (Norwegian EV Association) as Knowledge Partners; Breakthrough Agenda as Session Partner; and Hindustan Times as Media Partner.
The summit was presented with the support of the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
