TERI and CFCL launch Mycorrhiza Product

Partnering with The Energy and Resources Institute's (TERI) SMART Agrisolutions, Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (CFCL) launched their first Mycorrhiza Product in the Mycorrhiza category of biofertilizers. The Advanced Mycorrhizal Biofertilizer product has been named- “UTTAM SUPERRHIZA”.

The industry which has received funding from the convergence of various ministries has given sustainable livelihood to farmers, in particular to women of marginalized communities in the states of Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Bihar by giving them jobs. She also says the Government of India has a special focus on the development of the silk industry in the Northeast States.

किसान उपलब्ध मीठे पानी के संसाधनों का अति उपयोग नहीं करना चाहते, वे भूजल का संरक्षण करना चाहते हैं। सीवेज का पानी आसानी से उपलब्ध है लेकिन बुनियादी ढांचे और उचित उपचार की कमी के कारण, आंशिक रूप से उपचारित नगरपालिका अपशिष्ट जल और अनुपचारित सीवेज ने समय के साथ मिट्टी की गुणवत्ता, दूषित भूजल और फसल की उपज को कम कर दिया है।
Farmers Shift to Climate-resilient Crop: With Rising Cyclones in Tamil Nadu

In the recent past, the Bay of Bengal has witnessed frequent cyclones. In 2011, when Cyclone Thane struck the coasts of Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu, many farmers looked for a crop that could withstand climatic fluctuations. Sharada Balasubramanian says vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides)—a hardy grass—was found to be a suitable alternative to cashew and casuarina, which were often getting toppled by cyclone. Farmers found this not just climate-resilient, but also profitable from an income perspective.
