Green design, energy efficiency and renewable energy systems in the upcoming hospital for Fortis Healthcare Limited
The proposed multi super speciality hospital with special focus on Cardiac and GI diseases, envisages incorporation of energy efficient design at all levels. It is a vision of the Fortis Healthcare Limited to optimize the design and building systems to achieve best standards in Green design for the proposed hospital complex at Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi. The complex will have 3,20,000 sft. Built up area in Phase I and 20,00,000 sft. in Phase II.
The hospital might also adopt TERI GRIHA, the management of the hospital has yet to make a decision, however, it is anticipated that it could be the first Hospital in India with green rating.
