GREEN Olympiad: Empowering Young Minds to Become Change-Makers

The GREEN Olympiad, initiated by TERI in 1999, is India's leading environmental quiz for school students. Over time, it has grown to incorporate sustainability-focused initiatives, reaching nearly 2000 schools annually across India and abroad. Designed for students from Std. 4–12, the Olympiad aims to enhance awareness and build skills in environmental sustainability and green practices.

In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Olympiad promotes holistic development and 21st-century skills, moving away from rote learning. As the first Olympiad on environmental studies in India, it aligns with SDG 4.7, ensuring that learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, human rights, peace, and global citizenship by 2030.
