Mr Pranjul Chauhan is an Associate Fellow and Area Convenor at the Centre for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services area of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). With a background in Forest Management, he brings extensive expertise in climate change mitigation, sustainable land use, and landscape restoration. He has led carbon offset and nature-based solutions projects for a wide range of stakeholders, including state departments, universities, and corporates, ensuring compliance with international carbon market standards.

His work focuses on carbon finance, climate resilience, and the development of pragmatic solutions for forest and biodiversity conservation, while also supporting policy advocacy and the livelihoods of forest-dependent communities. He has actively engaged in training and capacity-building initiatives for diverse stakeholders and has contributed to national publications, including India’s State of Environment Report 2023.

Passionate about integrating technical innovation with inclusive collaboration, Mr. Chauhan is committed to advancing sustainable forest management and promoting ecosystem-based approaches for climate risk reduction.
