Serving as the Knowledge Partner for the “Electronic Waste Recycling: Enabling India’s Circular Economy & Resource Security” event at the 6th Edition of the WasteTech Forum, TERI developed and released a cornerstone white paper titled “Critical Minerals: The Circular Pathway,” which provides an in-depth analysis of the current status and future outlook of critical minerals while highlighting the transformative role of e-waste as a secondary resource for securing India’s circular value chain.

This comprehensive study examines existing policy frameworks, mineral demand projections, and systemic roadblocks to propose a strategic roadmap toward a more resilient and circular critical mineral ecosystem. TERI further shaped the forum’s discourse through high-level engagements, including a Theme Address by Ms Leena Nandan, Distinguished Fellow, and a Keynote Presentation by Ms Mrunali Tembhurne, Associate Fellow; additionally, the institute’s technical expertise was central to the deliberations as Dr Suneel Pandey, Senior Fellow and Director, and Mr S Vijay Kumar, Distinguished Fellow, moderated key panel discussions on the sector's most pressing challenges and opportunities.
