New Bloom On The Loom: A film on hybrid solar charging unit for power looms

This project - Energy Access for Livelihood Promotion of Weavers of Varanasi was executed with the help of fund received from Indus Towers under their CSR initiative combined with the contribution of weavers, mobilized by TERI. In order to streamline the power source for continuous operation of power loom and to reduce the electricity bill, Hybrid Solar Charging Unit for Power Looms were installed at weaver's premise by TERI. This intervention has increased the income of weavers, assured power supply and created conducive atmosphere.
