From Idea to Impact: Empowering Communities with Battery Innovation

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in collaboration with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi and Innovation Norway, launched a Fellowship Grant to accelerate community-driven innovations in battery energy storage across India. The programme emphasized on nurturing innovators developing sustainable, scalable, and community-centric energy storage solutions by offering technical mentorship, financial assistance, and strategic guidance. Through the country’s vibrant startup ecosystem, particularly the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and Atal Incubation Centers (AICs), the initiative sought to strengthen indigenous innovation and promote clean energy entrepreneurship. This Fellowship represents a collective effort to move from innovation to impact, driving inclusive growth and enabling India’s transition toward a more resilient energy landscape.
