CleanUP Kochi: A City's Quest to Save the Sea | Under the CCPME Initiative

Kochi’s coastline has long suffered from plastic pollution and marine litter. Under the CCPME (Cities Combatting Plastic entering the Marine Environment) project, the Heal Kochi initiative brings together local communities, government bodies, NGOs, and youth to clean up marine hotspots, promote waste segregation, and drive behavioral change.

From clean-up drives in Kaloor, Fort Kochi, and the Island Area to awareness campaigns and school-led initiatives, Kochi is showing how collective action can revive our waters.

This film is a joint production of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
