 UrjaSanchay

The UrjaSanchay website is a comprehensive digital platform dedicated to advancing knowledge, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven insights within the energy storage sector.

Functioning as a centralized hub, it facilitates collaboration and provides critical decision support for policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and academic institutions. To achieve this, the platform integrates two primary pillars: an interactive Data Dashboard for real-time insights and a Dialogue Platform for cross-sector collaboration.

Urja Sangraha: The dashboard serves as an interactive data visualization powerhouse, translating complex energy storage data into clear, actionable insights. By leveraging dynamic charts, geospatial maps, and comparative analytics, it empowers users to track industry trends and performance indicators with precision, fostering more informed, data-backed decision-making.

Dialogue Platform:: A dynamic forum designed to catalyze stakeholder engagement and collaborative knowledge exchange. By hosting structured consultations and discussions, the platform bridges the gap between policymakers, industry experts, and researchers, allowing them to share lived experiences, troubleshoot challenges, and co-create emerging best practices for the energy and sustainability ecosystem.

E-Learning Platform: Focused on energy storage and clean energy technologies, the platform is designed to support capacity building and knowledge dissemination in the rapidly evolving energy sector. The platform serves as a digital knowledge hub by offering structured learning modules and interactive training content that aims to strengthen the technical understanding and practical skills of diverse stakeholders, including students, researchers, industry professionals and utilities.

The website has been developed under the Indo-German technical cooperation project ‘Energy Storage for Renewable Energy Integration in India’ (StoREin), commissioned by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) under the umbrella of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and jointly implemented by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

The implementing partners of the project are Fraunhofer IEE, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), and WRI India.
