Dissemination of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Technologies - biomass gasifiers and bhattis

TERI has been working on development and promotion of biomass gasifier systems for thermal as well as for power generation. Under the thermal gasifier component focus is on developing, promotion and dissemination of thermal gasifiers as cleaner technologies in small and micro enterprise (SMiE) sector. The overall purpose of the current project is to develop viable enterprise-based models for delivery of efficient energy services on a sustained basis in the state of Rajasthan. A component of the revolving fund that was generated under a previously funded ICEF project would be utilized for promotion and financing of thermal gasifiers in the SMiE sector in the state through a network of local service providers (LSPs) and the TERI licensee manufacturers (LMs). Concurrently, market research for identifying sectors for dissemination of thermal gasifiers, awareness generation of prospective end user of gasifiers and capacity building of the LSPs, entrepreneurs and gasifier end users would also be undertaken under the project.
