Demand forecast, loss estimation, and power system master plan for Sikkim
The main objectives of the project are:
(1) category-wise demand forecasting both energy and power for the state corresponding to each year of the Eleventh Plan Period (2007-12);
(2) year-wise supply side assessment for the existing, under construction, and sanctioned generating power stations for the state corresponding to the Eleventh Plan Period (2007-12);
(3) load flow studies corresponding to the existing network of the state at 66 kV and above voltage level as well as the under construction and sanctioned network corresponding to the year 2011-12, and conditions to test the adequacy of the same to meet the load demand and supply scenario;
(4) estimation of the transmission and distribution losses for the state corresponding to the year 2004-05 conditions.
