Building an energy secure future for India: in consultation with stakeholders

01 Nov 2006 30 Nov 2010
This project is a cross-cutting, multi-divisional and long term effort to formulate an energy policy vision for India with energy security at its heart. The project is centred around a multi-stakeholder dialogue process, informed by background research as well as energy, trade and climate modeling. Over the three years of the project, energy security issues will be assessed in a broad sense - going beyond supply security to include questions of climate change, lifeline energy, energy distribution issues, geopolitics and technology. Because of the variety of criteria and the emphasis on involving policymakers and other stakeholders, modern decision analysis methods will be used.
