Manish Kumar Pandey’s experience in the field of promotion and use of sustainable energy solutions is spread over 12 years. His area of expertise is off-grid rural electrification and distributed generation, as well as clean cooking. He began his career with TERI in May 2009 and was involved in projects related to technology and market assessment of renewables and improved biomass cook stoves, apart from training and capacity building of stakeholders in distributed renewable energy.
Currently, he is the area convenor for Centre for Rural Action, under which TERI’s flagship program Lighting a Billion Lives (LaBL) is hosted. He is responsible for partnership development, project planning and coordination, as well as capacity building of different stakeholders for effective implementation of LaBL in India and Africa. In 2014, he was also selected to represent India in the Future Energy Leadership program during the World Energy Congress at Daegu, South Korea.
Mr Pandey has a post graduate diploma in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA).
