TERI organzies 'State level youth seminar' across seven states in India

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, today launched the first series of 'State Level Youth Seminar', entitled, New Ideas for a New Tomorrow - Promoting Innovation and Youth Participation.. These seminars will be organized in seven states and Union Territories of the country namely Assam (Guwahati), Maharashtra (Nagpur), Uttar Pradesh (Aligarh), Odisha (Bhubaneswar), Jammu and Kashmir (Jammu), Kerala (Cochin) and Gujarat (Ahmedabad); with approximately 150 youths from Colleges, Universities; Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), NSS and NYKS and youth groups from the respective states participating in the seminar. Each youth seminar will focus on a pertinent and pressing environmental challenge in the state/region. Selected participants will get an opportunity to participate in the 'YUVA Meet 2014' to be held from February 3-4, 2014 so that the voice of the young can be heard at the major international forum.
