Nalco, TERI sign MoU for sustainable rehabilitation

Nalco has signed an agreement with TERI for various scientific, technological and educational activities in the area of mining rehabilitation and sustainable development. The activities under the MoU will cover mining rehabilitation methods and technologies; sustainable rehabilitation on red mud areas; capacity building; workshops and preparation knowledge documents on mining rehabilitation.

The Environment Ministry got an increase of nearly 19 per cent in its budgetary allocation for the next fiscal even as environmental bodies said that Union Budget has failed to acknowledge the problem of pollution.
